How does a refrigerator condenser work


Refrigerator condenser is components of the refrigeration system, which belong to the type of heat exchangers, can convert gases or vapors into liquids and transfer the heat from the tubes to the air near the tubes in a rapid manner. The working process of the condenser is an exothermic process, so the condenser temperature is higher.

In a refrigeration system, evaporators, condensers, compressors, and throttling valves are four essential components of a refrigeration system, where the evaporator is the device that delivers the cooling capacity. The refrigerant absorbs the heat of the object being cooled to achieve refrigeration. The compressor is the heart and acts as a suction, compression, and refrigerant vapor. The condenser is a device that emits heat, transferring the heat absorbed in the evaporator together with the heat converted by the compressor work to the cooling medium,so that the refrigerator can exchange heat energy and keep cooling.

The necessity of the condenser is based on the second law of thermodynamics. According to the second law of thermodynamics, the spontaneous flow of thermal energy inside a closed system is unidirectional, that is, it can only flow from high heat to low heat.
