The thermostat for car cooling systems plays very important role in the car cooling system.

The thermostat for car cooling systems is a kind of switching element that controls the temperature in the car air conditioning system. It senses the surface temperature of the evaporator, thereby controlling the opening and closing of the compressor, and functions to adjust the temperature inside the car and prevent the evaporator from frosting. Any liquid-cooled car engine has a small device called a thermostat that sits between the engine and the radiator.

When the temperature inside the car rises to a certain set value, the temperature switch contact of the thermostat is closed, the electromagnetic clutch is turned on, and the compressor is working. When the temperature inside the car drops to a certain set value, the temperature switch contacts are disengaged, the electromagnetic clutch current is interrupted, and the compressor stops working.

There are currently three types of thermostats on the market: bellows, bimetal and thermistor. In the thermostat, there is a set temperature adjustment screw connected to the cam. The screw is turned clockwise, and the extension spring is tightened. The higher the temperature is to make the contact close, that is, the temperature inside the vehicle is adjusted higher. The eccentric spring in the thermostat regulates the temperature range at which the contacts open (ie, the off time) so that there is sufficient time to prevent the evaporator from frosting.

Thermostat for car cooling systems are about 5 cm in diameter and act to prevent coolant from flowing into the radiator before the engine warms up. When the engine is not hot, the coolant does not flow through the engine. Once the engine reaches its operating temperature (approximately 95 ° C), the thermostat will turn on. The thermostat reduces engine wear, deposits and emissions by allowing the engine to warm up as quickly as possible.

In a conventional ordinary car, the cooling fan is generally driven by the engine crankshaft via a belt. In a car that runs at low temperature and high speed, the cooling fan rotates at a high speed without cooling the engine cooling water, which increases the fuel consumption of the car, which is an unhelpful energy loss.

Change the engine crankshaft drive to use the function of the temperature sensor and its corresponding circuit to control the conduction or interruption of the thyristor. By temperature control, the cooling fan is automatically turned on according to the heat dissipation of the engine to make it run, which will save the car engine. Fuel is 5% to 6%.
