Why does a run capacitor go bad?

We make and supply many different models of capacitor. Our run capacitor mainly used for air conditioner, freezer, and motor, compressor, water pump and cold dryer etc.
The run capacitor is a small and cylindrical item that make energy to the motor , then supply powers to an air conditioning system.
Capacitors store and release energy as needed within a circuit.
The run capacitor gives your AC system the initial boost.
It needs to start on and provides continuous power to keep running.
The capacitor is just one small part of the air conditioner.
But it's a true workhorse,
It like all parts of an air conditioning system, it's not easy to go bad.
Without a properly-working capacitor, the system won’t be able to function as it should.
If your air conditioner is not blowing cold air, the reason maybe is the capacitor go bad.
The most common symptoms of a bad capacitor is include:
air conditioner not blowing cold air
air conditioner takes a while to start once you turn on
air conditioner shuts off on its own
air conditioner won’t turn on
Why a run capacitor go bad?
Below reason also can cause it go bad:
Overheating:
The start capacitor contains a moist separator inside,
It will dry and gets too hot, causing it to develop an internal short circuit.
The capacitor will go bad when its temperature goes above 150 degrees.
Overload:
The air conditioning capacitor is designed for the compressor and motors. Up to about 3/4 of running speed and then disengage.
It is not designed for a continuous electrical load.
If the motor becomes physically blocked from turning or if the motor burns out, the capacitor will probably be destroyed.
Damaged Parts:
The capacitor must disengage after a few seconds or it will overheat. A compressor or motor that damage or worn bearings might cause the capacitor burn up.
Life:
A run capacitor that is protected from damage, overheating or incorrect electrical loads will eventually fail.
The life expectancy of an capacitor varies due to the climate and usage, but a typical is about six years. For example, start capacitor for typical home air conditioner systems life of 50,000 starts.
High voltage:
Another reason cause for failure can be a variation voltage.
Power companies can raise and lower the line voltage that is delivered to your house especially during the summer during peak demand periods. This can decrease the capacitor life.
High voltage can cause the internal chemicals to boil.
The capacitor looks like it has been expanded like a balloon.
Sometimes they will explode.
It is very common to see increase rates of capacitors failure during the summer.
Except above import reason , below also can cause the capacitor go bad.
Leakage of oil or electrolyte can make the capacitor inside go dry and cause failure.
Also salty situation, aluminium body can get holes due to rust.
Many times due to dust, dirty, humidity, leakage is developed between terminals, which also can cause the capacitor go bad.
