Does A Run Capacitor Need To Be Charged

We can see the run capacitor are used in many areas and machines.The run capacitor is applied in air conditioning,motor,compressor.It is helpful for the running of the machine.When we see the name of the run capacitor,there maybe one question in our heart,does a run capacitor need to be charged， how about other capacitor?

The answer is the run capacitor does not need to be charged.According to the run capacitor’s function and internal structure,and run capacitor’s operating principle.Let’s talk about the run capacitor’s function firstly.

The function of the running capacitor and the starting capacitor are exactly the same, except that the capacity of the starting capacitor is large, so the starting current is large, and a large starting torque can be obtained, but the long-term operation will cause the starting winding to generate heat. When the start up is completed, the centrifugal switch switches to a smaller capacity operating capacitor to maintain the rotating magnetic field and avoid heating of the starting winding.

What is the role of running capacitors?In fact,this is simply a capacitor that ensures that the capacitor can operate normally.For the starting capacitor,it can be simply understood as a starting function.In the case of normal operation after starting,the starting capacitor will stop working,and the running capacitor keeps the device running normally.

The two electrode lines on the run capacitor product are connected to the positive and negative poles of the power supply in turn, and after a while, the power supply is cut off. The run capacitor still have residual voltage. At that time, the universal meter can be used for detection. 

The residual voltage is stored in the product to accumulate the electric energy. This working principle becomes the charging of the run capacitor. After the product is charged, the charge will discharge the circuit properly. 

This process is called capacitor discharge. In the case of an AC circuit, this circuit coefficient is proportional to the length of time and has a functional relationship. 

Therefore, the discharge of the run capacitor also requires a certain period of time. Therefore, in the polar field of the circuit, an electric field of different values is easily formed, and the current is circulated through the run capacitor, which is a function value of time.

When we install the run capacitor into the machine,for example,the air conditioner,the run capacitor’s life time is around 2years.There is will not happen that the run capacitor have no electricity.During the producing of the run capacitor,as long as the capacity of the run capacitor is suitable for the voltage,then the run capacitor can be used on the machine for a long time.
